Aspen Camp Donations Share with us the joy of enriching the lives of children and building solid foundations for better futures.

Aspen Camp (AC) touches the lives of hundreds of deaf and hard of hearing children every year. As the camp grows, so does the programming and community outreach. With the financial support of donors and material support of inkind sponsors, AC is able to upgrade facilities and programming resources to create the best camp Aspen has to offer.

Donate More for Less
According to the State of Colorado regulations, the Aspen Camp is considered a Child Care Facility and is licensed with the Department of Human Service Division of Child Care. This is good news for Colorado tax payers! Colorado residents are eligible for an extremely lucrative Colorado Childcare Contribution Tax Credit on donations totally up to $100,000 annually. **For example, with your $1000 donation, your total tax savings… $726. This means, after tax, your total cost of giving… $274. Now you can make contribution dollars go farther. What a gift for everyone! Thank you Colorado!

**The above example is based on 2007 calculations provided by Reese Henry & Company, Inc and represents someone in the 28% Federal Income Tax Bracket and in the 4.63% Colorado Income Tax Bracket. Tax savings each year will vary depending on the number of campers 12 yrs and younger and depending on each individual tax situation. Ask your tax professional for details on filling form DR1317.

Computer Literacy as opened up communication and employment opportunities for the Deaf as never before. But one must learn and develop confidence to access the opportunity. Jointly with Computers For Kids, a local valley non-profit, we are offering an innovative 4 hour program where campers will literally build a computer from parts placed on a table in front of them. Give a child confidence, new skills and a future.

$5,000 covers the cost of 100 children in the “Build A Computer” Program

Handicap Accessibility - $250.00/ramp
Enable children in wheelchairs to enjoy our beautiful site. Help us build special ramps and walkways. Donation covers a system of ramps and walkways connecting 5 buildings.

Special Opportunities for Angel Donors

Main Lodge Renovation Project (Naming Rights $1.5 million)
At the heart of AC is a 2,600 square foot lodge with camp kitchen and dining hall in need of renovation to accommodate the thousands of deaf, autistic, and wheelchair bound children attending camp. The new plans which have been generously drawn by Architect Carlos Zaldivar of Aspen, CO, include a recreation space on the second floor for workshops and rainy days. Cabins for Campers with Naming Opportunity - $35,000
We have an extraordinary opportunity to secure several lovely fully furnished cabins in spring 2008. Donation covers the cost of a foundation, transporting and set up of one cabin. Please contact us with questions and to make a Cabins for Campers donation.

Camp Angels - $25,000 per year
Camp Angels donate in many ways including scholarships, special projects, general contributions, and event sponsorships to name a few. Please contact us with questions and to make a Camp Angel donation.

New Filmmaking Program - $10,000 launch goal
AC is offering a new filmmaking program in 2008 to teach interested (and experienced) teenagers the fundamentals of filmmaking. This introduction will open the door to yet another potential career-building opportunity for these young people. Please contact us with questions and to make a donation for the launch of the New Filmmaking Program.
